Rouge Vif D'Etempes is an old time favourite, and deservingly so. These pumpkins grow on prolific vines that display resistance to temperature fluctuations, disease, and insects. The fruits weigh between 10 and 15lbs each, and taste excellent in roasted dishes, pies, and soups. We find that the fruits taste sweeter than any other pumpkin and the texture is silky smooth, so it's no wonder why this variety has been said to be the tastiest pumpkin variety in existence.

Growing Instructions
For the highest yields, It’s best to start pumpkin seeds directly in the ground or in pots when the soil temperature is at least 18ºC, or sometime around mid May. Sow the seeds 1/4 - 1/2 inch below the soil surface. These plants prefer to grow in full sun, and will handle just about any type of soil or PH. The plants are drought, flood, deer, and pest resistant.
